From my understanding of the TRD kit, I can get more lift. The TRDs are non-adjustable, and I have mine set at 2". I have room to go up another .5" if I want. I will need to do the cab mount chop eventually. It just barely rubs, and only when the tire gets stuffed. I hope that helps.

My AC blower motor wouldn't start. Got it going by cleaning off the motor brushes and commutator.. There was a good bit of crud built up in there and even a couple of bugs. I will probably replace it if it stops again. Also did this..20180804_125555.jpg

installed some sound mat on roof today, now I just need to reupholster my headliner. Keep thinking about maybe vinyl wrapping it. FmqfHqk0RJqCSl2Z6ln9Fw.jpgpJYOrVGtS%CUfQA7JA+7qA.jpgfullsizeoutput_a7.jpg

Also for anyone that might need a wind shield replacement on their 2nd gen I wanted to let you guys know that you can fit the windshield off of a 2016 Toyota Tacoma with the GoPro mount on the older trucks. I suppose I could of gotten a 3m go pro mount but I doubt it would last attached with hot Texas summers. Any who just figured I would share with the community.

Did you use the sound deadener that also reflects heat? It would be nice to add some insulating properties to the roof.

You have Kings. Not easy to turn the collar to adjust on the vehicle. Your gonna need to take them off and use a spring compressor and then adjust.

Well I can’t leave well enough alone. Some of you may recall that I posted this mod last year and although it looks good I just always felt I could improve on it and make it look a bit more professional. The first pic is what I made last year and still in the truck. Today I went into work and played with the CAD program and water-jetted a frame that the new poly-carbonate window (that I will also water-jet) will bolt directly to rather than onto the air box. For those who might be interested, I’m sharing the CAD drawing for the frame but can be also used to cut out the poly- carbonate window, just use the outside portion. The existing one was all done by hand using a jigsaw and disc sander. Still good looking but not as clean as water-jetting one.

I never would have thought the windshields on the third gen are the same as the 2nd gen
