This challenge should be entertaining, I’m looking forward to seeing what y’all come up with. Hopefully the smokey haze clears out this week, and the wind stays calm this weekend. Here’s some inspiration from a trip to Alaska several years ago:6900AA14-3BE6-46D0-8543-557264E29676.jpg

I'm going to have to wait a few days and reflect on how I can interpret this challenge...

Don't mind the smoke-filled sky from all the wildfires up here in Northern California! The wind kinda picked up right before I snapped this one so the reflection isn't as good as I would have hoped, but oh well!

Took my grandson to the lake yesterday. Yes there is a little reflection in the water, but that's not what I was going with on this photo. I was thinking reflecting as in looking back. I had my 50th birthday a couple months ago, and a month before that my brother lost his battle with cancer. I have found myself "reflecting" a lot on my life. For the most part it's been darn good. It's fun remembering all the times going to the lake, camping, cutting firewood, and other fun outdoors stuff as a kid. I'm incredibly fortunate to now be able to do all those fun things with my grandson. He spends a month with us every summer, and I love every minute of it. Tomorrow he is flying home to Ohio, gonna miss him.

Sorry to hear about your brother, Steve. I lost my dad in April and I have been doing much the same reflection as you have.

Trip up to Mt. Rainier this morning, lots of fog, mist, and the sun trying to break through, this is actually on a part of "Reflection Lake" normally the big old Mt. is in the background, but not today! :(

I live in Northeast Central Ohio and we don't believe in scenic vistas. Just in potholed roads and endless corn fields. So because of this, here is "Reflections of a Tasty Cow". I'm making Braised Beef Short Ribs for my wife for supper.

Thought about this composition all week, then woke up in camp at 4:00 this morning to get this. Funny thing was the lake was glass until sunrise, so I waited patiently until everything calmed down.

I miss spending time in the PNW. Mom is originally from Seattle, so as a kid the family would head that way for a few weeks every summer. My peak bagging buddy and I climbed Rainier in June of ‘06.

Here's my submission for this week. Been out of town for some vacation and travel to a family wedding. Caught the reflection of the clouds in the blue Southwest Airlines jet engine cowling during our return flight. I like the oddity that you can see the 'blue' sky and clouds by looking down towards the landscape from thousands of feet in the air.
