Probably somewhere, but not from me! My dealer doesn’t mark up, but msrp they don’t come off of. I was fine with msrp, but not a red penny more.

Not worth it. A modded SR is the most cost efficient.

Not that you would do so, but you can literally equip your truck with every part on a PRO minus the rear locker and be cheaper. Honestly someone could probably figure that one out also and save money with the whole build.

Most people who buy a Pro don't really give a F whether they could save a couple dollars and buy a SR. If they did they'd buy a F'ing SR.

Yep. I planned on 4runner pro wheels and larger/better tires regardless of trim level. I don't need it but can get an ARB, lift and sliders and out wheel a stock pro for way less.

Debated the same issue. Deciding on a sport. BUT THEY DONT MAKE THE ACCESS CAB WITH A MANUAL. Compared them n liking the option to just add the arb n Ome once I decide upon a color.

This is a common argument but the Pro is a complete package, designed by Toyota for the truck, all under warranty.

I have a 15 Pro, my buddy has a 15 OR and recently bought black wheels & upgraded the suspension to one of the “better than” pro setups. He’s been back in the shop 2x a week for the last month sorting out issues with the new suspension.

And he doesn’t have tech package, or the Pro grill, or the skewp, and is starting to hate his chrome bumper, etc, etc ... so is building a Pro really cheaper?

I can’t say for sure, but it sure looks like it can be done cheaper. Not all parts have to be bought at MSRP for one. Second, I have an OR and could’ve bought a Pro, but I have everything I need for 32,500. I can add this little stuff like bumper caps. That’s about the only big thing I want honestly.

Oh, and that grille! :) It should be standard on all Tacos.

One more thing now that I have a little more time to write a response...

I think the debate is such a hot topic because (here’s an example)... This should wisely relatable to most people...

Do you guys know or see the differences between a Subaru WRX and a STI? That is a separation both in price and the level of performance justified for a “flagship” model. You essentially are getting a totally different vehicle. Higher performance, better handling, better engine, etc. I owned two Lancer Evolutions which are basically the “flagship” equivalent, but I figure more people are familiar with the Subaru’s.

I think the biggest issue people have isn’t the truck itself or the owners who are willing to spend so much extra, but in the value for what buyers are expected to pay. I think most people think it’s way too much for price vs. what you get.

People can’t take stuff so personal. People don’t hate you or your trucks... It’s the hefty price. You better pay way under MSRP to make it worthwhile in my opinion.

It’s just my opinion like I said, but look at the voting results. That’s not just a conspiracy against the truck it’s how people really feel from the wide range in results.

It was an E38 (BMW) 740i short wheelbase sport. It was an amazing car, one of the best they ever made. But only when it ran right.

What 'Tech Package do you have on your 15 Pro that your buddy's 15 OR doesn't have? I had a 2015 and can't remember any Tech Packages.

Not sure about 2015, but current ones the Tech package has rear sonar, cross traffic alert, blind spot monitoring. You have to get that and the Premium package to get leather seats with the OR. There are a few other small items missing but its close.
