Unfortunately it's something you're forced to reckon with when you get 15mpg or less on average and have to buy premium 91 octane at $4/gallon every time

Just get low grade fuel and octane booster. I did that on my 2000 tacoma and it was supercharged. Worked fine

Those octane boosters don't do hardly anything....maybe add 1/10 a point of octane and you need at least 3 full points to bring it up to spec. You'd have to dump a dozen of them in the tank to make it work, though some are better than others...most aren't worth the money.

E85 is corrosive after awhile. ItlIt rust your fuel system. And its no better or much cheaper than gas

I tried to but toyota got the truck before I could take it off and swap the intakes. Really bummed me out. But the po installed it and was making a bad rasp sound at the time.

I can't remember which it recommended but I read an article about octane boosters that highlighted the few that actually were worth the money...and a couple of them could only be ordered online. But ya by and large the ones you see at the gas station aren't going to do much and are way overpriced for what you're getting

Try it out or do some math and figure out how much you need to get to your octane level.
