Also, any 4Runner peeps with sliders. How many tubes come from the frame to the slider on yours? These things are short and I'm thinking 2 should be fine

 

I did 3 on mine, but I have a 96 runner.

 

Well that is the Doctor and only he can get away with cornering in the dirt and not having to eat through a straw for the rest of his life so there. Also a 250 cc is only fun if you weigh as much as one of your pillows so there again. I had a 500 ninja and I couldn't even get out of my shados way back when I was a buck .75. You are correct in slow is fast and keeping momentum through the turns. Made the 750 Gsxr allot of fun.

I had the first year of the EX250-J and I was about 185-190 w/gear on at the time, and according to *ahem* totally scientific tests done in controlled conditions I was roughly approximate to a stock VW GTI of the era. Listed specs are often full of shite, I had mine over 100 plenty but it's top speed according to some sources ranged between 92 and 98...


Buddy's bike broke down in the middle of nowhere and we went 2-up on my 250 back to get his pickup truck. Easily over 350 pounds of rider, top speed was still about 80 but it struggled.

IMO the problem was the powerband, not the total power it developed. If you weren't screaming you weren't going anywhere fast. But like I said, that taught you some important lessons about power management very fast.

It was cold blooded as hell too, you had to give a generous warm up period before it would get out of its own way. Once everything was in the green zone though it was a blast.

 

Thanks. Torn between 2 or 3. Probably just gonna do 3 to be safe unless there's something funky on the frame. Haven't looked to see where the legs would land. I'll figure it out after my lunch break

 

I can't remember how many hundreds of pages ago someone here had a possible connection for granite counter tops. Since all this work is going on in the house I may as well upgrade now. I've got the square footage measurement so that should help a bit in getting a general idea of the cost. Let me know if you have any info. Thanks
