I should be back by then. I ran Hagerman last week, it's some of the best scenery I've ever seen. I do some amateur photography while I'm out wheeling. Check out post #3767 on https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/colorado-trip-reports.250254/page-189. Would be cool to meet up and run some trails, I have been itching to run clohesy but haven't yet.

Any recommendations in the Ozarks? My plan is to start at Lake Fort Smith then make a New York cab drivers route from west to east and stop for the night at Haw Creek Falls.

Haw Creek is a nice campground. Depending on how far E you want to go on hwy 123 and how much time you have , you can turn left right past the Piney Creek Bridge on a dirt road and check out car wash falls (google it for specifics), stay on 123 to hwy 7 which is an awesome scenic by way, and go S back to I-40 through Russellville. Or if you turn right on Indian Creek Road off of hwy 123 before the intersection of hwy 7 you can meander your way back to hwy 7. Hankins General Store is historic stop right at hwy 7/123. On the way in stop at Oark General Store, also historic and popular offroader's stop. Really all depends on what you have time to do, cause you will be in the heart of possibilities. Falling Water Falls is a cool water fall if you cross hwy 7 and go to FR 1205 and turn left. Tons of stuff to do and see in that whole area.

Sounds awesome, I'm not on a tight schedule but don't have space for camping gear. I'm going to have an air mattress, pump and sleeping bag. I need all my space for the return trip. Doing more than one night with no gear doesn't sound appealing.

I highly recommend using a set of Hellwig 980s .....I absolutely love them. With my camper shell and all my gear I still sit just above level. The air bags are not recommended for off reading and will interfere with your axle articulation....they will probably rip.

    Yeah.
Yeah, the Hellwigs are a good option as well, kind of an easy way to add a leaf.

Unless you are running a lift with extended travel, the air bags shouldn't interfere with articulation. But if you are running a lift and extended travel, you probably don't need them anyway. Folks that do typically use the cradles on the axle and don't attach them on the bottom so they get full droop. These things are tough, it would be pretty hard to rip them. They say they are able to support the full weight of the axle.

You’re just about all set to go then right? Meanwhile, I’m working in Dallas all week, and my truck is sitting at home with the entire front of the motor pulled apart!

Unfortunately, at this point I just need more time. I should be alright though. If time gets too short then I will definitely take you up on the offer for help!

My only concern with the cradles is under the rare scenario that the rear fully droops and comes to a hard hit on the bags. But if that were to happen, there'd be other things that I'd worry about too. There was a square body chevy that got jumped about a foot in the air through an intersection in Jonesboro, and the leafs were crooked. That might have contributed to the need for a front end rebuild too.........jury's still out on that one. Not gonna say who was driving. >.>

Anyone familiar with PC map software or an Windows map app that works with a GPS USB dongle? i have a small touch screen laptop and would be nice to run GaiaGPS on Win10 but no app for it. Phone screen just ain't big enough.
