If I drove this to school, my principal would've keyed those Rebel Flag TRD decals. Those look badass, too bad the Rebel Flag is banned at my school.

    At this point I'm stumped...

My mechanic tested the system a few weeks ago and said it was charged. When the truck is at idle, only the far left vent blows really cold, even with the recirc on. Today, I replaced the blend door actuator and I do not notice much of a difference. The two right vents aren't really that cold at all, even with the recirc on.

It is in the 90s today, and I'm absolutely positive that the hot weather is having some effect on my truck's A/C performance. However, why in the hell would it blow cold on the left and warm on the right?

    Here's the timeline...

June 2017: A/C recharged for the very first time after I first noticed the problem.
April 2018: A/C serviced again; UV dye added
June-July 2018: System checked again after far right vent started blowing warm again; Mechanic determined it was after far right vent was blowing 39F.

My mechanic believes that something is in direct sunlight and causing the right vents to blow warmer...

Today, I put a high-velocity fan on a cooler, placed it in front of my truck, and it turned it up all the way. I then started the engine, turned the A/C on as cold as it would go with recirc on, and put a thermometer in the far left vent. I then revved the engine to about 3,000-4,500 RPM and kept it there. The thermometer read about 42F. This was actually pretty damn good in my opinion, considering it was in the high 80s with a heat index that made it feel like it was in the 90s. Placing the thermometer in the inner left vent gave a temperature reading in the high fifties. The inner right vent was about 60-65F. I did not check the far right vent.

I first noticed this problem in June 2017, but considering I rarely have passengers in my truck, this could have been going on for a while. The A/C did genuinely need a charge in June 2017, but I no longer think low refrigerant is to blame here. The heat works perfectly.

What the hell is going on with my A/C?!?!

What are your pressures? High side? Low side?

I don't have the tools to check that...

    Everything tested normal in April.

Your mechanic didn’t give you gauge readings? Without pressure readings this thread is worthless

I have pressure reading pictures from 2017...

My dad drove my truck to work that day since the mechanic is within walking distance, and I drove his Honda Pilot. When I got the Tacoma back, the A/C was working to my satisfaction.
