I would too. We travel a bit. 2-3 he drives for camping on the weekend are common. With a 3 day weekend I'd be long gone

I guess I wasn't meaning the guys doing the work don't like it. Everyone loves making OT money. I was meaning more the guy paying out. I have recently spoken with a couple guys in landscaping and one in some other industry I forget now, but they were saying that when they have to pay out OT the company doesn't really make any extra money because of all the extra expenses involved and so they don't like doing any OT if they can help it.
As I said before though, I don't know much about it, at least on the paying it out end as I have never had to do that.

Good news is we are off manditory Saturdays. Which sucks on 3rd shift. But I normally do a 2-3 split of 10s and 12s

Same. I'm here 7-5:15 M-F and now 8-3 on the occasional Saturday (although lately they've been once a month because we're short staffed. Yarh). Really sucks during the winter since I only see the sun on the weekends.

I expect a lot of it is your background too. Growing up my parents didn't have a lot of money. They didn't struggle most of the time, but only because everything we had was extremely modest. I'm better off now than they were, but there's still absolutely no way I could spend that kind of money on one day. Instead of $20k on a one day event, I figure I could max out the Roth contributions that year and still have enough left to put in the sliding glass doors and deck I want off the dining room and replace my aging boiler, or maybe replace my kitchen cabinets that I hate. Or, go another route entirely, and put it towards land to build a new house.

Dude was screaming his head off. Fed him. Pet him. Pulled out a few of his toys. Nada. Went up stairs to brush my teeth and he booked it for the shower.

    He's had his shower. He's good now.IMG_20180806_082320.jpg

I agree with you, and we always try to suggest the cheapest way for a couple to get the experience they want. I was never super good at my sales job because if I didn’t think something was a legit product they actually needed, I refused to try to push them into buying it. I’d rather a young couple put a down payment on a house then be in debt to have a wedding they can’t afford.

On the other hand if they can afford it and that is what they want to spend their money on, we are more than happy to do whatever we can for them.

I think we quote jobs for it, it also depends on the type of payment system they have worked out. We have a "mandatory" 50 hour week.

Saturdays are optional, but I'm 24, live at home, and single as ever so might as well soak it up

    Yea I hear that. I work 6-4:30 M-F and 6-10 or 11 on Saturday

Friend of mine, now, actually. Because Nuno's cap matches his truck now, and mine still doesn't. :notsure:

Mine sits outside the door waiting for me to be done in the morning. Once I walk out she walks in and enjoys the shower puddles and drips. Crazy cat

    Wait what now?
How do you even spend $1200 per guest? Was it a steak dinner sprinkled with platinum?

Yup. Oddest domestic animals I'd say. Never had a dog or a bird hop in my lap, stare me in the face, yell at me, and then casually walk away.

They're good company though. We'd bring them on the road with us but I'd be afraid they'd get lose and kill everything in the woods.

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
We asked for referrals at each venue we went to check out. By the time that we picked our venue we pretty much knew who we wanted to hire for the vendors. We had a great wedding but saved money where we could (tried to limit a bit on each thing) and it helped us save a lot, well it saved my in-laws a lot :D.
