Bad Vibrations in Wheels and Pedal from 2k-2500 rpms!

Hi Folks!,

I have a 2017 TRD OR and am experiencing a buzzing vibration in the wheel and pedal when accelorating through 2k-2500 rpms. Also is constant when I hover in that range -- 5th gear 70mph for instance.

I took it to the dealership and they said thats normal which I think is bullshit!. My buddy has a 2018 and his does not do that at all.

The truck is stock and has no extra lift.

It's driving me crazy, please help!

 

rebalance the wheel/tire perhaps

 

Wheels and tires are balanced. It feels more like a driveline issue. Its a buzzing vibration not a shake if that makes sense :/

Yes sir specifically the steering wheel and gas pedal. You can also hear it. I read about others having that issue with the 2016s but with no solution.

Also the transmission keeps hunting for gears -- that could be unrelated through

 

Some have solved it by replacing the needle bearing. Check out ECGS needle bearing.

You can try to test this out by switching to 4hi. If you no longer feel the vibrations then it might be that needle bearing.

Did replacing the needle bearing solve you issue? Mine does the exact same thing and im just curious.

 

There is a 129 page thread going back to 2016 about this still unsolved problem. Toyota has yet to step up to the plate and take responsibility for it. I would have bought a Gen3+ by now were it not for this problem. You are not imagining something.

The vibration is so minor I would definatly not let it stop me from owning a 3rd gen. Its there and I feel it but its not a big deal to me
