@ready6delta I talked to Joe today about the steel vs aluminum tailgate skins. A point he raised is that the 2nd gen tailgates are weak as fuck in comparison to 3rd gens, so the aluminum really won't help. It's a nice smooth surface for camping but if the goal is strength, then aluminum is not the way to go on a 2nd gen tailgate.

 

If anybody gets out to Tysons early hit me up. I'd rather drink longer than sit in traffic so I'm going out there now

 

Thanks for following up man I appreciate that. That sounds like a good reason to me. Need to pick one up next month. I wish I could just swap out the turd gen tailgate for mine cus they are so much better.......has #RandyFab ever thought of this?

 

I could make it fit but dammit it wouldn't be pretty and probably wouldn't ever open again

 

They make an extractor that goes on the outside of a bolt head they normally work great

 

My extractor was going to be a torch and 11mm 12 point socket hammered right the fuck on there.

After trying a 6 sided socket, because I'm guessing he used a 12

I'd also like to say that you all are getting fucked at the gas station. I was looking at prices on Gas Buddy up that way before I left work and premium was $3.30+. I filled up down here when I got into VA, and only paid $3.04.
