Probably because it butts up to a flat metal piece in the back, and it is too long to go through the narrow hole in the front because of that. I stared at the picture for a long while trying to figure out why.

There was a female with a white taco that posted this a few weeks ago and was able to do it with out cutting it in half. I thought i tagged it so i could find it later, but i am not sure where i saved it. still looking. She didnt leave as much pipe hanging out the other side though.

I like it so far. It's pretty no frills, but it has the most important stuff I want like Android Auto, CD playback, camera inputs and 5V preouts. I do think it'd be better if it had its own GPS antenna to give the phone a break, and maybe an aux input so that I could retain the OEM jack (not that I use it, but it's currently not functional), also would have been nice to see HD radio built-in -- I'd rather have that than satellite radio. For the price point though, it's a solid deal IMO.

I mean, any sort of decently rigid material should do. Just needs to act as a guide.

Forgot to clip in the folded tonneau cover and it opened on the highway and got torn. Is beyond repair. Debating now between a new/used soft tonneau vs a tool box. I've been keeping a costco rubbermaid bin with my bungees, ratchet straps, packing blankets and towels back there. Nothing very valuable (the few tools I keep on hand are under the back seat), and I don't have to park in the 'hood often enough to worry about it being stolen. Kinda like having full weatherproof coverage for camping gear and whatnot. But a toolbox might be nifty as well and I would keep more supplies with me, with a lockable tool box. Thoughts from the peanut gallery?
