Ended up here. Welded up. Some of the welds turned out pretty shitty on the front of the winch mount. Should’ve done it vertical! Oh well. It’s held on underneath with square 2x2 that’s notched and all boxed in. Should be solid.

Front end looks tougher already. Need to figure out some tubes to the top tomorrow.

Thanks gents. Here’s a little video. These high gears take some getting used to. I’m used to crawling. I’m a little jumpy.

Got my winch box setup under the hood today, there was no room on the front bumper. Ended up changing my m9000 for an XD9000 I had around.

Mounted the controller plug in an accessible spot.

Wound in the winchline nicely this evening and noticed the bumper flexing a little more than I would like. So I added a little more 1/4” plate to help. I may need to add something more to connect this to the main mount. We’ll see how it holds up

And some pics of just how cute this thing is. I mean just look at it.

Yes I’m going to replace the other foggy headlight. It’s on order.

    Skidplates and sliders next.

That extra brace to the body mount make a solid difference for winch stability under load?

Can’t wait to get skid plates under this thing now. Should be nice and high clearance up front. I need to transfer the transmission skid plate from the 4runner, see if I can adapt the front skid, and need to make a crossmember for the rear skid. Lots to do.
