I don't see why you wouldn't be able to weld it back.

I wish this happened to me, because I would have an excuse to tell my wife I need to buy some rock sliders.

A buddy did it because I was scared I would go thru the metal. Its super thin. Then I hit it with 2 coats of Herculiner bed liner.

I would think you could cut them off with a Sawzall, then use a grinder to touch them up, maybe going over it with some bed liner and you'd have a pretty good set of rock sliders. Lots of people have damaged the steps on those predators

They wouldn't make good rock sliders. They're thin aluminum and bolt to the body not the frame.

If you do any wheeling, take them off and put on real rock sliders.

As for repairing them, now's a good time to buy a mig or tig welder and learn to weld aluminum. Once you can weld you'll want to make all sorts of stuff for your truck.

Thanks everyone for the good advice. I found a Fab shop close to work. I should have it back soon.

IMG_2003.jpg IMG_2004.jpg I took the step to a Fab shop as suggested by JoeCOVA and the did a good job of welding the step back on and straightening the brackets. Any suggestions as to what type of paint I should use to touch up the bare metal?
