I still have no idea who you are, or why you are one of the most popular people on this forum, but you're okay.

From a mountain top of course.

That's not just a legend, that actually happened. The forum software had an integer cap because of the way it was expressed in the backend. They had to wait for Xenforo to actually address and fix that, I was trying to write another chad meme when it broke and I was bored at school

Yeah, but at a certain point they lose some of the fancier capability, the one Dan runs is dual band which allows him to use APRS on one channel and simplex communication on the other. And of course you can do even fancier things with repeaters and iGates.

Yaesu FTM-3200DR 2 Meter VHF C4FM Digital / FM Analog Mobile Transceiver 65 Watts https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01DCEU9C4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_qKqABb8B24B74

A lot of my buddies use this, only probably we’ve had is in my friends SXS, something interferes like crazy.

I have an icom in thats in about the same price range now, and I use a mag mount antenna.

    BaoFeng BF-F8HP (UV-5R 3rd Gen) 8-Watt Dual Band Two-Way Radio (136-174Mhz VHF & 400-520Mhz UHF) Includes Full Kit https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MAULSOK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_9MqABbD6E8D44

These actually work half way decent with the bigger battery
