Yeah, but at a certain point they lose some of the fancier capability, the one Dan runs is dual band which allows him to use APRS on one channel and simplex communication on the other. And of course you can do even fancier things with repeaters and iGates.

A lot of my buddies use this, only probably we’ve had is in my friends SXS, something interferes like crazy.
