Nice. I'm sure it'll feel good to have it back on the road again!

This is a cool group here, I like it. I come here for BS, and to T4R for build threads and technical info. Plus I can actually post here from my phone. The T4R interface sucks...

Shit happens man. I've been there more times then I ever wanted to but just get it done and move on.

Since I put the duals in my stereo has a lot of noise now. I chased it last night for 30 minutes and couldn't get rid of it completely with the usual tricks. I just ordered up some dual shielded rca's and a hole bag of ferrite chokes. I can't run the Dusy with noise in my stereo and noise from my leaky ass rear locker. lol

I did get the wife out for some wheeling today though. We ended up going into the Whites and checking out Cottonwood Rd, aka 35E315. It's in really bad shape. It follows a drainage for about 3 miles. At 2.5 miles in it was game over. There was a washout 4 feet deep and 4 feet wide. Not even I'm that crazy. I need 40's. lol

    Here's the easier portion:

Yeah, those damn "overlanders" kill it. Remember when you went wheeling or you went camping? Sometimes, often actually, you did them both on the same trip. I remember thinking, during those times, there should be a really cool name for this. Then, out of nowhere, overlanding hit the scene. What a cool name. If your 20. I still wheel and camp. One day though, after my trust fund that I won't ever have comes through, I'll build an "overland" rig. lol

Have you wheeled in Death Valley or the Panamints at all? I'd like to put a fall trip together to go to Defense Mine. Road looks plenty hard and having at least one other rig is probably needed. There's bypasses for most of it but that isn't how I wheel. lol

Did you try adding heat? Heat should help break the red locktite.

It poured when I was out there a few weeks ago. The only rain I've ever seen in southern california..

But, how did you do it if there wasn't a name for it? Can you even do that? Please advise.

It is right. You can fuck up the plumbing but that's not the case here. Mines plumbed exactly the same. He's gotta be on the #1 plug on the harness. Hopefully it's that simple. Compressor pigtail and cab harness are the next things to check.

I saw a few of those guys rolling up the mountain this afternoon. 2 fifth gen 4Runners and a Jeep. Saw the OC Overland sticker on the back window of one of the 4 Runners.

Did you make sure the air line was free of debris? Pull the diff side and engage the compressor. If it's blowing air you have air to the locker. Then check the bulkhead for debris.

Yep, no air, no lock. lol

So I'll tell you something that happened yesterday. I was never gonna tell anyone this but it seems fitting now.

After pulling my rear diff to inspect my leaking locker and replace the seals I re-installed it. I decided to just throw on the air line and not zip tie it or route it the way I had it before. I did this so I could test the locker. I go out to a local dirt lot and spend 15 minutes locking and unlocking the rear. It's still locking and still leaking. Screw it. I head home.

I get into the driveway and decide to throw the locker on one last time. The comp kicks on and never stops. WTF? Did I just chew the copper line? Fuck me. I get out and here air blowing hard and fast. I look under the truck and the 6mm air line had rotated up and contacted the muffler. It had completely separated. I was super happy to see that as the cause. One 1/4" x 1/4" compression coupling later and it's working again. lol

I did order a 12 pack of 6mm push couplings for the trip just in case.

Based on the fact that the black air line has 6mm printed on it I went with 6mm. lol

The old blue line is 5mm. I'll know in two days. I'll also have plenty for the group if they are the correct size.

I saw a thread a while back on t4r about them making stock length lowers. Didn’t know they actually did until now though and I don’t need Lt. Feel like that price is actually reasonable too. Was planning a front end rebuild when new tires so this may fit the build

Doesn’t solve the LBJ thing though. Mine will, but Heim steering required.

Expensive. Even if I sent you arms, you'd have to buy shocks, and axles
