I actually rigged mine to only come on when the key is on the ignition on position. I don't want to see numbers and ---- marks when I am listening to the radio and drawing unnecessary power from the system.

Another disadvantage is it would display in the dark at night if you want to just listen to the radio so that is just a disturbance on the eyes.

Pulled the plugs, not the wrong ones. Just the wrong heat range. The boxes and PO's are from plugs for my s/c '98 taco. I really need to not worry about my personal stuff when work is so busy. So, as long as the correct belt shows up Monday, I will continue on with the ucon install on Monday.

I don’t like fuse taps. I tap into the existing wiring.

Find the wire you want to connect to. Remove a section of the insulation. Wrap the wire you want to tap into it around the existing wire. Solder the connection. Insulate it with 3M Super 33+. Wrap all your aftermarket wires in TESA tape so nothing rattles. Use zip ties to secure your wiring to factory harnesses. Take care in routing aftermarket wiring to avoid contact with moving parts such as seats, pedals, levers, shifters and steering columns.

Don’t be scared of cutting into wires. If you do it right, the car won’t burn down. It’s all hidden behind the dash, so resale value isn’t affected. A good solder and tape job will last forever.

Anyone want a factory supercharger belt? I think it has 1500-2000 miles on it. Came with my magnuson super charger. Running 2.6 pulley now with smaller belt. $25 shipped

I installed the check valve today. Pro tip, don’t do this on a recently filled full tank. :anonymous:

This should solve the hard start issues the quieter DW turbine pump has, which the Walbro doesn’t seem to have.

I’m extremely picky about the parts quality I install on my truck. I was not going to install a $2 Chinese check valve on my fuel line. I used a made in the USA high flow brass valve. This is the valve:
    https://www.highflowfuel.com/i-2390...MIjIXriIau3AIVieDICh2nUwzKEAkYESABEgI4vvD_BwE

I cut the the URD fuel line extension just after the filter and purchased some stainless 3/8” hose hose clamps at the local auto parts store to secure the check valve. I originally tried putting the valve before the filter, as that would be less volume for the pump to fill, but the barbed ends of the check valve were incompatible with Toyota’s clamp, and I wanted to minimize the number of connection points in the system. So after the filter it was.

I need to pick up some better zip-ties, but gives you the idea. I’ll report back after a few days of use to see if it has really cured the problem, but in limited testing it seems to.

I picked up a couple extra of the valves from another vendor that sold them for the same price, but with $15 being in shipping, so if anyone else is interested I can mail them to you for a few dollars less than you can buy them for online.

I used to have the same problem, but after I upgraded to the 61lb injectors it has never happened since. Not sure what the bigger injectors do to alleviate the problem though.

If this ever happens again on my truck, I’m going to copy you!

Possibly that extra fuel flowing is just that little extra needed to get lit up.

After the truck sat overnight when it typically hard starts, the truck fired right up with the new check valve installed. Stopping on the way into work to get my normal caffeine fix, there is usually an audience sitting outside the local Starbucks to observe the hard start, where in the sea of luxury cars my truck turns heads for failing to start. This morning, no heads were turned as it started normally. I'll monitor it over the next few days, but it appears to have fixed the issue.

Some eastsiders have no appreciation for a well built truck. They probably drink decaff too.

Glad you got it figured out. I’ve had no issues with my DW pump but if I do now I know what to do. How many cranks before your truck turns over now?
