You're right, it is a shitty choice: buy a new one and watch it rust and depreciate; or drive and old one and deal with the rust, like I am.

My 95 lived in Iowa, Wisc, and now Indiana. My Dad's 95 was an Indianapolis lifer. So, any work I do on the underbody/chassis of either truck, I already know there is a better than 50-50 chance that every bolt/nut will be rusted solid and anything <14mm will probably twist off. I have had every one of the following break off at least once: bleeder screws; fuel/brake line fittings, O2 sensor nuts; exhaust bolts; fenderliner/mudflap screws; bed bolts; fuel pump screws and tank front bracket; heat shield bolts; ... Most of those, more than once. I went to pull my passenger seat last week and both the outside bolts twisted off.

PB Blaster, forget about it. It helps after you have the bolt/nut moving, but rarely before. Impact on low torque and oxy/acetyl heat helps, but still lose most of the time. I even used the "candle wax trick" and had a little success on bleeders.

Rust sucks, but we're stuck with it here. Get it, stuck with it... We just learn to assume that will be part of the repair process.

How do you like them Ray 10’s?

Mine were delivered a couple of days ago in Matte grey but I’m going to order new rear custom springs from rather Deaver or Alcan and the rear swing out tire carrier from CBI off-road. I’m probably going to put new ko2’s on them prior to install.

Theyre method nv’s got em quite a while ago. But they work pretty well. Only downside is the center cap, ripped one off so far n shaved another one down a bit. My friend loves his ray10s im sure you will as well. I play in the rocks too much to warrant new wheels. I really like the bronze sr8s though.

Yep, I’ve wanted them for quite a while now. I tried a few times and missed out. They’ll definitely get their share of scars.
