I know this question was posted months ago, but heres some pics of my RTT attached to the KB Voodoo racks. Works mint! The height is perfectly matched with the roof. Did some pretty serious trails in VT and it is absolutely solid.

Thanks for the reply! I had a similar set up but eventually moved on to a full bed rack system from them. Truck looks killer though man!24732066-D70A-476F-8DE6-98C01BA07B2B.jpg5746B6C7-C14B-46A9-BFA0-709090251698.jpg

Looks great, like the height! And the black rear bumper! Thinking of doing the same!

I think you’d need to get their bed rack if you want to clear the roof with a kayak. And not these cross bars.

I know OP said it’s a nice contrast.
However, like the others have stated would look better black.
The uprights are black, the bars stand out.

Bringing this back up, I have the same tonneau and will use this as a reference for when I put the bars on. @kb_voodoo Just ordered the Hi-Rise bars, sending you a PM. Hopefully can have it set up this weekend, going camping for labor day weekend.

If so I am likely in.

You shouldn’t have any issues. There’s 6 inches of clearance between the top of the bed and the bottom of the cross bars.

FedEx is the most economical option that we have. It’s one huge box, and one small box.

Is there a taller rack that would clear diamondback bed covers?

The Hi Rise Crossbars will work with DiamonBack covers:

We also have full bed racks that work with Diamondback: https://www.max-modular.com/shop-max-modular/

I would like to be able to open the diamondback without removing the rack. I did see the other model similar to the hirise but want/need something that has better weight capacity for a bigger rtt.
Is there a way to mount the modular without interfering with the opening of the diamondback (similar to the pic) and assembling it square on top and not tapered?

The new URTC that we have coming out will have a high load capacity, and it will allow opening of the cover: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/max-modular-bed-racks-by-kb-voodoo.562144/page-2#post-18544686
