I am thinking in 5-10 years once I have a home and have figured out how many kids will be around etc... But right now I'd probably end up in a lot of trouble with the wife and have to start sleeping on the couch

You'll see they "are worse on Toyota's" cause it's a forum, people come to ask questions or bitch up a storm.

That being said I by no means went traditional on any aspect of my lift and run a really bastard lift. I run 11.25" travel rear Icon VS 2.0 smoothies out back and have for well over 2.5 years without issues. Beating on them pretty good on road and off road. I've put lots of different manufacturers products in people's trucks for them and I'll say bilstein works for street use and light offroading. I blew up all 4 of my 5100s from wheeling them. And from my experiences and from experiences I've seen from people I personally know, Icon has good customer service.

The worse on Toyota was based on the amount of complaints on both forums, I think they have been around for Toyota longer tho, which also adds to the amount of complaints I am sure. I had 2.5's with resi and adjustable and they didn't last over 20k without a rebuild. Then my UCA's from them needed new bushings and they literally refused to send them to me, and every supplier/dealer of theirs sent me the wrong parts even though I was giving them the part numbers STRAIGHT from ICON reps. This happened 3 times and I said "f it" and I won't buy another icon product for the rest of my life.

Obviously there is always a "lemon" or whatever, but the complete inability to get me a bushing was enough for me to say "never again". I might be over reacting, but I don't need that crap when I'm trying to get my only vehicle working right.

That'd do it for me with a brand. So far, I'm happy I decided to go Rancho on my Ferd. It's still early, but they seem to be doing well so far.

I think with ANY company you will get some issues, so while it didn't work for me, it might be fine for most others. Is it ADS that everyone loves in salt country because of their resistance? Anyways, I saw on their thread the other day that the mobtown guy's had all rusted up. It seems no matter the product there is always someone who has issues with it. So I won't say don't ever buy x brand, but I will be avoiding them myself.

I hate the Icon Poly UCA bushings, that's about the only thing I don't like from their tubular uniball UCA and rear shocks. I also have their ubolt flip plate that are cut for use with air bumps, just haven't put them on yet

Morning all! I've done some 69'ing the last few days, even though it's been air conditioning weather. It's not bad as long as you're moving, but I got stuck in a line of traffic behind a paving crew this morning and ended up shutting it down while we waited on the flagger because the headers were cooking me alive.

I learned that a bit late. I'm leasing at the moment.

Probably with an option to buy when the lease is up?

I would honestly love to lease rather than buy but I put too much mileage on my vehicles to do so. My wife on the other hand will most likely lease her next vehicle. She’s had the car she’s in right now for over two years and just rolled 18k miles on it

I've been in a long-term lease for a while now. Definitely good to leave that option open; keeps everybody on their toes.

Good thing I got rid of that mod back in October, saved me quite a bit of money. Seems like another possible variant of that mod might be on the horizon, only time will tell though

I personally have not had a bad experience with them. Been running icon on my truck for 4 years and about 60k miles. No leaks yet :fingerscrossed:, but did break a coil spring. Their CS was pretty quick to ship me my new springs.

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
And you think by getting a Dodge that is going to make anything any better? o_O
You should become a weatherman! I'd laugh my ass off if I saw that very truthful forecast on TV
I blew up my factory Bilstiens and got 5100's as an upgrade. I then proceeded to grande one rear shock while the other one was leaking. After removing them I gave my fronts to @johnnym and he proceeded to blow one of them up as well
My BIL had a coil spring break on his factory Raptor Fox coilovers
