On a 2016 Tacoma, how do I get the weather to save in my area? It stays on the next city 25 miles away. I look up mine and click on it but it always go back to the other. Thanks

Pretty sure it's just pulling the weather info from the nearest HD radio station.

Question for you Entune guys. Took a long road trip in my new Tacoma with Entune and JBL with Nav. As long as I was within the range of an HD radio signal, my Weather Screen showed current weather. When I didn't have an HD signal, it would not update weather until I got within a radio signal. I checked my Radio Settings and I do have the one selected that is supposed to use my iPhone data to get the signal. Am I doing something wrong?

The weather updates come over the HD radio signal. Toyota paid a lot of money to get it set up that way. Your phone data is used for pandora, iheartradio, etc. and the two systems aren't related.

That seems strange. I have read in the owner's manual that I can use the Entune App Suite to see weather. Confused

"Data service information, which is comprised of traffic information and weather information, can be received via the HD Radio and by the Entune App Suite application on a Bluetooth® phone. The receiving method can be set to both or only via the HD Radio. For details about the Entune App Suite application: →P.269"

This is from the Owner's Manual. I'm still confused.

I have an HD radio station about 4 miles away from where I live that my truck picks up from time to time but it really likes to pull its info from a station about 25 miles away.

Not sure, but mine picks up the station a few miles away every once in a while. Just seems like it has a preference for the one 25 miles away.

Still don't know why the Entune Weather App won't get a weather signal from my iPhone data like the Owner's Manual says it can.

Add me to the list, 2018 TRD OR. I used it all the time just super convenient to have it right at my finger tips, especially the map. I live 40 miles from work bringing up the map while driving for a quick visual is nice. but as of this week I noticed no local weather, national cities, just no weather or map update at all. something is up up hope its not Toyota taking another feature away. could be the weather channel doing an update or something. I miss it.
Friend has a 2017 TRD sport he checked his weather today as we left work, No Weather.
its definetly not having access to HD radio tons around Dallas. Plus we show the HD and weather channel logo at the bottom of the weather app screen.

I just went out to my 2018 Tacoma. I got the no HD message. I searched AM to find an HD station. No luck. I’m 30 miles from the nearest radio station. Tried FM and found one. Went back to the app and the weather was there. I have never used this app.
Is there any chance that your HD station has a HD transmit problem? Did you try other stations?

shows the HD stations are good i listen to one on the way home still no weather. like I said before when I tap the weather icon in the apps menu, it says downloading data but no weather ever comes up. wonder if I could reboot the head unit, if thier is such a procedure. im not talking about turning it off then on either
even using voice commands asking for "weather forecast" I get a verbal reply back "not available"

Glad I am not the only one having this issue. I'm in the Dallas area and weather just says "downloading". The weather map works. I've tried changing HD Data from using HD/Phone to just HD and back again. For the radio source selected and unselected HD radio. Nothing seems to work.
