URD O2 Sim.

Just bought the URD O2 sim. for my truck so i can get rid of the cel from running no cats anyone else running the URD O2 sim.?

 

I have it, but found out I didnt need it, and just needed to replace my o2 sensor's again... But Ive great things about it, and it works like a charm..

 

well my O2 sim. comes in today now time to wait by the door!

 

got my O2 sim of course it didnt come with instructions how do i install it ? where at?

 

take the plastic runner up by the front passenger seat......lift the carpet up, and you'll see some plugs. follow the one from the rear sensor to under the seat...then unplug under the seat and plug in the o2 sim.

 

o cool thanks. only bad part is im still getting a cel even after i disconnected the battery.??

 

Is the CEL the P0420? Have you checked to make sure its not another code? I know that some guys have had other codes appear after installing the Sim. Check all your connections, and then make sure that your rear o2 is still good. Dont know what it could be man, sorry....

 

i played with it again this morning at left the battery disconnected for a while then hooked it up then it work ive driven around all day with no cel and my gas mileage seems to be better as well

well the check engine light came on again but looks like it could be the MAF sensor. its caused the cel to come on before do to dirt build up, sure thats some help from the deck plate.

 

get some maf cleaner and spray the sensor down real good.

what kinda filter are you running?

 

i have the 02 sim. I get a code if I have an exhaust leak. I cant keep my header bolts tight and every couple months they start loosening up again and the cel comes back on.

 

i used sensor cleaner before the last time i got a cel from the maf sensor and it fixed it. im using a k&n filter

 

i'd do it again...and ditch the k&n filter. if you over oil it..the oil can get on the maf sensor. go with an afe pro dry s.

 

yea i make sure not to over oil it but it may be the filter makeing the maf sensor so dirty.

I had the K&N before, and it always got dirty way too fast. After just 3-4 months it was getting dirty. So I switched to the dry AFE. Mucho Better!!
