Agreed.. Montana would be awesome. Or Colorado. But Nova beats the hell out of Charleston - it's beautiful and the food is amazing.. but way too damn hot. I love Nova compared to Charleston and love my location near the Bull Run Mountains.. it's shady and I can only see my neighbors from Nov to April.

Come on over! I've got 2 stands on my property... and plenty of deer. I'm in PWC tho so county regulations say can't shoot anything larger than a .22 so I bow hunt on my property. Legally I can use a shotgun but last year I bow hunted. I just moved up last September. I may use a shotgun this year tho...

I mentioned in my introduction that I lived out there... And yes, there are several nice lots for sale but most of those are a bit North of me and a smaller plots. I am off of Mountain Rd but not in Bull Run Mountain Estates. I am just a few miles south of there off of a private drive. It's pretty... and peaceful. I love it out there and that's also why I need to get rid of my 2wd Silverado and get a 4wd Tacoma when I get home in September.

Love Reds - used to take my boat there all the time. Ahh, the good old days... Pull up to Reds in my boat with 2 or 3 friends and leave with about 5 girls. How they would get home the next day was on them. I damn sure wasn't boating them back to Reds after a day of fun and drinking on the water. Many "walks/calls of shame" after those days

Hit up Edmunds Oast while in Charleston. Great food, atmosphere and beer. My favorite restaurant in CHS, by far. And if you are in to breweries... lemme know. I have been to them all and can tell you all about them.

My neighbor is a vegetarian so last year I did the neighborly thing and used a bow... This year I don't think I am going to use a bow. I am in my legal rights to hunt with a shotgun because I meet all the requirements set forth by the state.. But bow hunting was fun last year too... except dragging an 8 point about 500 yards up a hill back to the house.

haha thats awesome!!! Reds was pretty wild when I was there last summer. I'm not sure where else we'll go, My buddy lives in West Ashley so i guess it depends how far he feels like ubering lol. I will have to tell him about that place. Everytime I have been to downtown Charleston I end up not remembering too much.

yea that neighborhood seems really chill, and 4x4 would def put your mind at ease in the winter. It really didnt feel like that far of a drive from civilization either.

Not remembering much when DT is pretty par for the course... I have experienced that many a times!

Yea man, I love it out there... It's peaceful, quiet, pretty and I have land. And there is a brewery 5 mins from me - Farm Brewery at Broad Run. I'm content. It's 10 minutes to Gainesville from my house or 25 mins to Centreville or Leesburg where I have everything I need. When I am home and working my commute in the morning takes about 40 mins to get to Kingstowne going 66 to 286 and takes me about 55 mins in the afternoon going 286 to 29 to 66. The 40 mile drive for me is worth it not being stuck in the city but still being close when I want/need it.

Here is the only one I have... I am working with limited photos because I don't have my phone with where I currently am but this one is saved from my google drive. Trail cam pic obviously... I got him a few weeks after that.

He was a big boy.. I don't have a 4 wheeler or tractor yet and he made it off my property and down a steep creek bank. He was a bitch to drag up that creek bank and then all the way back to the house. That's why I am leaning towards shotgun this year.. no chasing 500 yards.

Last year I got a very good buck, and an okay Doe. The year before was two spikes, and a murdered tree branch instead of a nice buck.
