Just reporting back after having the TSB done a couple days after it came out. The truck does drive much much better, although i can still feel slight lugs, surges, and crappy shift points. Seems like the TSB didn't really address the underlying issues, it just seems like the TSB is masking them. The shifting is smoother, the surge is very minimal, and overall the truck is much more drivable than before so i'll take it! But like i said, i can still notice the strangeness of the transmission but now everything is smoother and not nearly as noticeable. Hopefully the TSB sticks and the truck does not revert back to crap like it did after all the other TSBs.

Just got the TSB 62-18 done. 1 hour at the dealer in Houston TX. The truck feels alive. No more lag so far. Feels like the truck got lighter. Highly recommended!

If they perform the work described under the TSB, it will be covered under the 80k mile warranty. My service advisor put a diagnostic fee on my work order, but it was removed after the work was performed. No charge.

The dealer where I bought i the truck wanted to charge a$150 diagnostic fee since I am over miles on the standard 36Kmile warranty. I am going to a different dealer on Friday. I will report back later.

Took mine to the dealership over lunch. Told them a 2 minute story and showed them the t-sb 0062-18 sheet and they said no problem on updating it. Was in and out in about 25 mins.

    None yet!
I'm in right now at Jim Pattison Victoria for this update. Why is it always a fight to get these applied?

I got lucky. Tech was standing right by the service advisor and said it would be easy and not a problem to do.

Has anyone in the Fort Myers area in Florida gotten this TSB yet? Curious what to expect from the dealer.

    Just a suggestion:

It might be very helpful to the others reading these posts if you list the dealership's name and location you went to as well as the specific update or updates performed on your vehicle..................

    Thanks

This thread is 25 pages long. Would it be okay to start a thread just for the locations and no discussion beyond the dealership experience and location?

Somebody should start a thread dedicated only for questions about whether or not both TSB's apply the same software update since that gets asked about every 5th post and has been answered almost as often.

I have a question regarding these diagnostics that some dealerships keep trying to push on people. The doc says to apply the update if a customer complains about the symptoms, not that it should be applied if a diagnostic test deems it necessary. Demanding a diagnostic test be done sounds like absolute BS. If you are under 80k, take the doc in and show them that you are not required to pay for a fing test to get the update, right?? I am glad my autonation didn't say that to me, or maybe they should be glad!

Just visited my favorite service guys Brian and Alfonso at Mossy Toyota in Pacific Beach California regarding the update. Alfonso was really friendly about it and said there should be no problem whatsoever taking care of it tomorrow when I take the truck in. Every time I go there they're nothing but friendly. Crossing my fingers that I notice a good difference in my transmission. I've run things from the ECT mod to the SSP and honestly I don't think that my transmission is that bad off compared to some of you other fellas. I think to this date it has learned my driving habits pretty well and shifts decently. I also am running the TRD intake and exhaust system. But the way I figure it, it's worth the try to see if the TSB helps make my truck better than it was.
