    Full disclosure, I was duped by an article our local water district sent out.

    During the last drought (ending in 2015) they had a news letter that said they were implementing mandatory Navy showers and other restrictions.

    That one was just believable enough. They already restricted what days you can and can't wash your car or water your lawns, so navy showers weren't all that out of the realm of possibilities.
