Had my CMC boxed in. Expensive and not as pretty as other welds I’ve seen on this forum. The second I get my garage it’s time to buy a welder and start leaning this shit for myself.

A few mods here and there and counting....
I placed two strips of 3m mounting tape at the top of the riser to disperse the load better. Its an oversight i think birddawg should look into. It probably explains why people were cracking their windshields with additional items mounted to it.

Wanted to let everyone who is getting them seat spacers, I am putting Tracking on the packages so if you don't have them within a short time get hold of me and we will track it down. Thanks everybody, I needed a reason to get my butt in the shop. Feels good.

yea, this was my concern as well, especially since I have the wired mirror, that has the thermometer/compass, which is heavier than the standard one. I thought I would use some super glue to hold it.

    Nice upgrade.
I did exactly the same last november, I traded my 2008 for a 2014 with 14k miles.
    For the same reasons.
I also wanted to stick with 2d gen; love that engine.
    Enjoy

The 3M mounting tape is more than enough holding strength. Its not coming off.

Installed the white LED Dome light that came to day easy to install bring light. Ordered Bulbeat 1000 Lumen backup lights. Had a couple of other project to do but the smoke is so bad that it is cause me some breathing issues nothing serious but can't be out side to long the smoke is bothering the eye I had cataract surgery on last Monday, just staying inside and use eye drops. Getting old and having smoked is an adventure.

Here’s photos, was told over email that I would have to call Draw Tite technicians about bending it back and it still working up to load. They’re east coast though, they closed at 3 :annoyed:
What would be best to bend back that thick of steel without having a press, and being its so thick, makes me wonder how it even got bent in the first place being it’s literally brand new.

Oh yeah, the other side is bent in as well, just not as much.
