Emergency Breakin My Balls

    Does anyone know how to adjust the emergency break on an 04 Tacoma SR5...it is drivin' me nuts...I turn and release but have to mess with it 4 or 5 times to get the light to go out...Let me know.

    If you look under your truck there is a cable coming from both rear brake drums at about a 45 degree angle to the middle. Then a lever assembly and a cable going to the cab. The lever assembly should have a bolt and nut and you can tighten the nut and it will make your handle harder to pull. About 12 clicks is what you should have before you can't pull any more. Page "BR-8" in the fsm.

    Adjuster is under the driver's seat along the inside of the frame if I remember correctly.

    Super cherry n some champion stuff on the side
    the brake switch might be sticking. check that first id say.

Nice thing was I got the truck for $4000
    The same thing happened for me, and it pissed me off, then after going through winter, it hasn't stuck yet :D
