The coolant bypass valves are leaking on some trucks. It happened to mine. I would not have know it if a tech didn't find it when checking my trans fluid level.

It is an idiot gauge. My truck could be running hot as hell at 220 yet the gauge is still in the center

For what it’s worth, OP, I have to do this with my ‘94 Accord unless I’m on the highway.

I now have an excuse to be the sweaty guy everywhere I go :boom:

My 04 can blast AC in 118 degree weather (like what we had a few weeks ago) and motor temps stay at a normal 188-195 according to my ECU reader. Granted my AC doesn't blow a cold as it once did but probably just needs a recharge.

Anyhow yeah a new truck shouldn't be sensitive to the weather like that.

Roll down the windows and turn on the heater full with fan on high. Offers the coolant and additional source of heat exchange. Was a standard practice when I was a kid in the Antelope Valley.

As others stated, it's hotter with other vehicles sitting all around you.

any changes in the moving conditions.

I would be calling my dealership and asking a few questions. 1st being why did I have to sweat my ass off cause my AC basicly stopped working and the temp read H.

    Mostly stuff I built.
If you are sitting still put the truck in neutral or park and rev the engine to 1500-2000 rpm. It will draw more air across the radiator and cool it down. Same principle as high idling a diesel in a over the road truck. Draws more air and circulates the coolant faster. And for the record the pic you posted you are still in the normal operating range. Just on the high end of it.
