I believe the tunes are loaded to the handheld and you plug that in and load it up. I think if you want to change what tunes are on the handheld you will need a Windows computer and whatever program that requires

running obd fusion w/ kiwi3. i like the obd fusion because they have the extra toyota pids like tranny temps.

is my calibration covered with the na handheld? 30480000 / A0C01000 - would be nice to have a sticky here or better yet listed on the ovtune web site...

I've got that issue as well. Sometimes. Doesn't seem to reflect a driving style. Just taco attitude.

That’s interesting, I’ve never had that problem. What my truck does is actually the opposite. It can’t wait to shift into 5th gear when I reach 35 Miles an hour lol

Wonder if tire size and lift are factors. @Murphinator and myself are not stock.

There's a thread on here about this very issue. very common with the tacos especially the earlier a750e/f transmissions. my 08 suffers from it. some would agree it was an engineering flaw rather than a computer issue. (though it does help) and shows more often when running larger tires. The solution alot of guys did to get rid of it was a valve body upgrade, like IPT's or a shift kit called a "zip kit". increases the valve body pressure. without turning your truck into a drag car. the A750 is by nature a very slow and lazy shifting transmission and is benifited from a valve body upgrade. I can't wait to install mine.

Would make sense if on larger tires. I'm on 265/75r16 tires and OME 885s in front and 2" AAL in rear

That's interesting. I guess I was lucky enough to get the upgraded transmission in my 08

My truck did it with stock tires and my 34” tires now. Even with a valve body kit it still happens so I don’t know what’s going on. Still gonna send it at this point.

Mine has the same valve body kit too. Seems like it happens on long uphill climbs on the freeway when you're mashing the throttle. The truck will hit 5th, just takes a while.

I’m sure it’ll be worth it... I was following this thread for a while but really didn’t get interested until I put headers full exhaust on 4 months ago

    o_O

My truck stays in 5th a lot better when cruising light throttle. Before it would constantly hunt 4th to 5th when around the 45mph mark.

My truck had the same problem, so much I'd just keep it in 4th around town, until I hit 60mph or more. Now it's D and go.i used to have shift hang or flares, now it just grabs. Slush box feel is somewhat gone, but it's an auto so can't totally get rid of it. I've got a donor t4r trans ready to swap that I'm doing a twinstick and shift kit on.
