Might just go buy an abrasive tank and do it myself. What kind of media do you think I should be using?

Chrome plating is a little tricky. I can't even remove paint with heavy duty Garnet media.

 

Just get a scaler. That will take it off lol

 

Some coarse ass sand and huge pressure, stripping chrome is a bitch I wouldn't waste my own time with it and if it comes off in a sheet it can cut you badly. Either find a blasting place to do it or see if you have a local chrome shop (there's gotta be one it's cali) they can reverse the plating process to remove it

 

IDK. I have to unwatch this thread now. I'm researching tires and trying to pin down what I'm going to purchase. So many interruptions/alert popups.

Some of it is flaking off from surface rust, but that's only around the edges. I'll call around and see what I can do. I don't want to just paint over the Chrome. Would stripper do anything? Hell even etching it would do something.

No you def don;t wanna paint over it, it'll never last, and since it is a thin already peeling surface metal etching it will help the paint adhere to it but then the paint will flake off with the chrome chunks. Even then it may not even hold onto the chrome

lol no. Even though Ivan's interceptor has them, reading some negatives on wet traction and we can have some pretty decent rain here. Not too mention @Speedytech7 says KO2s are
