.....Not really a mod on my third Gen, but FOR my third Gen.

Modified a motorhome awning to lift my RTT off my truck and mounted it to the ceiling. I use a drill to wind it up. :thumbsup:IMG_20180807_210918.jpg

One on the truck for good measure...

Didn’t really consider it because i need to bolt and strap stuff down solid. My shelf is 3/4” plywood and super solid so my fridge (55lbs empty) won’t slide around off road. Wouldn’t be an issue at all on roads though I’m sure.

Last Taco(01 DBLCab) I took the rear seat out, and bolted a level piece of plywood to the seat mounts. Then I made a deep plywood box with three locks on it with a folding lid so I could max out the height.

If I was overlanding I would do something similar again, removing the seats is so easy and you get alot more vertical space.

This is pretty temporary. I have a set of drawers in the bed, so within the next few weeks my GO Fast Camper “should” be on my truck so I’ll have a completely covered weatherproof bed with lots of room. My fridge will be moving to the bed mounted to my Alu-Cab sliding/ tilting fridge slide.

I really debated taking out the back seat but i don’t really need the room. Those Decked drawers hold A LOT.

I’ve already installed my Nitro 4.88s  I’ve been slowly preparing these last two years for what is to come in the next couple of months. So Yes...if you know anyone that needs gears, let me know.

The mounts for them sit kinda low so I need to get some taller brackets for them to raise them up a bit. Just got the bumper 5 days ago so trying to get it all pieced together and such still

It’s amazing. I like everything about it. Well it adds a little over 200lbs so that’s a negative. I’ve got +660 lbs Dakar spring though so it’s not a big deal but i can imagine you could overload a stock truck if you’re not careful.
