    He currently has the TC mid travel on his ride. If you are going to go with DMZ...they make a bolt in bed cage that works great with their kit.

    Damn that looks good. Are those 12’s? All in all I’ll probably go with something like this tc or the archive. Its easy to start thinking crazy on this site but if my front end cant even keep up whats the point and then it just never ends. Also need that bed space. Dont really want to go too far down that hole. Looks like a fun hole though Lol. Thanks fellas

    Don't worry man...we all fit the bill that push our trucks as we would rather have overbuilt than a blown up truck that might need to get carted off the mountain. Im the type who needs quality and robust parts as "finesse" is not in my game plan. The biggest thing I cant iterate enough is really understand and identify what works for you.

    When I was midtravel I had my kings up front and SUA in the rear. It felt great because the rear is made to work with that which is about 15-25 mph on trail depending on the roughness of it. The second I went to LT, my rear was lacking and slowing me down. Since you already got front coils and something to work for the back to likely level the truck...I would go full LT and limit it to 14s like you said. That way you get solid gains out of it, but would be perfect for a +2. But if you drive fast at all and have a +2 up front, your rear will be the slow factor for ya if you went MT sua. Would hate to see you go round 3 on your build when you can do it in round 2.

    Getting used to the bill for the stuff is the first part...saving is the second.

    i would just go MT then less maintenance and if you'r not a do it your-self type of guy then its going to run you lots of $$$$. But if you don't give a shit hahah then LT for sure! nothing like going 60-80 mph in the dirt and jumping your truck :D:headbang: and just MOBBING.....

    If you go MT I would do something like what @jeff b has.

    yea i have no problem drilling out rivets cutting off hangers or that type of stuff but when it comes to welding in towers or perches id get a professional. My brother welds for a living and doesn’t mind helping out but with his new kids i hate to ask Probably the last thing he wants to do after work

    you can also do UCA with coil-over and rear shock plus add leaf or if you had some money you can go with Bilstein 8112 kit and that just plug and play no cutting or welding

    8112 kit little bet over 3k but for what it is its a bad ass kit !!

    how much money do have for rear set up?

    overland or prerunner ?

    thinking you should do something like this

    king shocks $1,200 with adjuster

    king bump stop kit $486

    i would do 2.0 king bump stop 2" or 2.5" and they are $275 each

    whatever leaf springs you want or just do a add-leaf and that should match the front really well..

    Just did another install of our spring-under kit and proto-typed our bolt-on bedcage for the Tacoma's. Customer did 2.5 x 16" King bypass shocks with King 2.0 bump stops. This was all hand built, next versions will be all laser cut and look a little different. Will look like how our Tundra 07+ bedcage looks. Here are some pics ....

    So if we're talking rear LT can we talk axles? I have a 14 bolt axle I am thinking of swapping in when i start the rear build but everyone has said it is overkill, heavy and bulky. But it's strong and cheap.

    Is it even necessary? I see tons of guys going pretty hard with the stock axles

    How strong is the stock 8.4 or 8" non electric locker or whatever you want to call it. Can i throw in 4.88 gears and a truetrac with 37s and be fine or is the stock axle not strong enough to do any kind of wheeling?
