The Needles Ca DMV has also a 25 min wait time and not currently busy at the moment !!

Believe me, I would of rather have driven two hours to and 2 hours from and waited at one of those. I don’t know why the DMV attracts such strange individuals. I was told that with the RealID you can’t use a 3rd party place you have to go to a DMV office. I don’t know. I’m all done now so hopefully I don’t have to deal with that again.
Now that I’m done, I realized I shouldn’t too much as I was getting paid the whole time.

You did get the correct ID so you can get thru the TSA check point ??

I remember when we got to Alaska everyone said we had to try caribou. I was hesitant but let me tell you, I really enjoyed it once I tried it. I also had caribou tacos in Talkeetna and I still crave them. They also have a little shop that had these raspberry rolls that were just killer. I may have to fly back just for those two things.
And the scenery and everything else.
And they have you there!

 

An external battery would definitely of been helpful.

 

Had it once here several years ago.
Northern Quebec fires made it quite smokey here.

 

With the 03 and 07 fires in San Diego we had a layer of ash that lasted till the winds finally blew it all out. Now I wake up to an occasional layer of dust and sand on everything.

 

Yeah, I did. They made copies of my passport, SS card, and property tax bill (for address verification).

 

All day long the sunlight has been filtered thru the thick smoke leaving a weird shadow on the ground

This smoke is from the Holy Fire which is almost 60 miles SSW of me

 

I’ve only seen that once and that really was enough.

 

For our license renewals we have to show in person. Something about our photo being current and accurate. My last renewal I had my eye doctor sign off on the eye exam. DMV makes the short list of places to avoid if possible!

 

It's pretty eery sometimes.
