Yea man, and Battle ain't even our biggest dog. Lycan out weighs him by 12 pounds already, and lycan is only 6 months. Battle is 2 years old. The vet thinks Lycan will be 150 when grown, battle is only 80 pounds.

The ups guy won't even pull all the way into our yard. :D

Just curious... What do you mean legally take 2? A law says you can only transport 2 puppies for sale?

How do y'all get the dogs to take pills?? Have the fur babies on Trifexis. She swallows it whole and doesn't care. He's older and a stubborn son of a bitch....I say like his Mama, she says he gets it from me. :D

Anywho, tried pill pockets, hot dogs, peanut butter....this son of a bitch smells meds from a mile away! :annoyed:

I usually resort to tossing it down his throat, and blowing in his nose to get him to swallow. :anonymous: It works, but I hate it.

Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!
We use a dog food called Bil-Jac. It is frozen, and we only thaw a little at a time to use as treats. Our's isn't that bad, but we have little experience. Plus she eat's most anything! LOL. She was just on anti-biotics, so we took the Bil-Jac and just wrapped it around the pill, it has a play-doh consistency. As small as possible in the hope she just swallowed. Worked 90% of the time.

My dogs like the duck-flavored pill pockets from Sam’s pharmacy. Go absolutely batshit insane for them. Hear any plastic bag rustling and lose their minds thinking they might be getting one.

    YMMV

To get Riley to take a pill, I first tell him "open" which he will reluctantly do. Pills to the very back of his throat. Then I close his muzzle and blow in his noze-keeping his head up and I don't let go till he's swallowed.

Then, a treat and some play. Associates an uncomfortable thing with a positive thing.

Oh. And sometimes when I say "open", he gets a treat. No pills.

So my Dutchie will just swallow his pills with whatever...I can throw them in his kibble loose and they’re gone

My mutt...oh no...it’s gonna take me tricking her into sitting for another treat, then wrestling her into submission and straddling her and prying her jaws open and tossing the pill in and blowing on her nose...then holding her mouth shut for a few seconds....then releasing and immediately shoving a delicious pup-peroni in her face before she can spit out the potentially hidden pill being regurgitated

You can buy a pill crusher then mix the powder into a small portion of favored food like peanut butter.

I had a dog that didn't like pills. Found that if I hid the pill inside a small piece of hamburger she didn't even notice it.

My current dog is such a food-hound that I just throw a fish oil and glucosamine pill in his bowl with his usual food every morning and he could care less.

I just bury the pill in a glob of peanut butter! Never a problem.
