Hey guys! And gals! I’m new to Tacoma World but read just about every thread till page 46 before I signed up. I learned a lot and thank you!

To let you know, I’m not new to Toyota as I had a 2001 Tundra SR5 4x4 ACSB with AT for 7 years but am new to the Tacoma. My dad has a 2015 limited 4x4 with ACLB and AT and my brother has a 2005 4x4 ACSB with AT but not sure of the actual model so I know what I was getting into!! I just happened to get a 2018 4x2 SR5 with DCSB and AT. The 4x4 modal was over my budget and if I would have purchased that, the news headline would have been: “Man killed by wife with knife to head as he slept for buying a truck!” Lol. Anywho, it’s much better than the 2015 Dodge Dart SXT I was rockin .... I felt like a little girl who just got her license with a big hello kitty sticker on the back! I’m a truck man and I feel right at home!

So far I’m loving the truck and can’t wait to get it back to the dealer to get the TSB-0062-18 update. Yeah, I have that problem. In fact, I took it back when it had only 300 miles on it (now has 2300) to complain about the brakes and the trans. The brakes needed new drums and the rotors machined but was told there’s nothing wrong with the trans. I beg to differ!!! Lol, but it’s ok, it’s not that bad and I’ve learned to drive and overcome it.

The only thing I’ve done to it so far is put on an AVS bug deflector, AVS vent visors, and nerf bars. The windows were tinted already so that saved me a bit. Tomorrow, I’m hardwireing my dash cam and putting on my seat covers. I will in fact, get rims and a more aggressive tire when I can afford them. I’m thinking black/chrome accent rims to accent my suppa duppa white and black truck my wife calls the “Pantaco”!! Short for panda and Tacoma because well, it’s black and white ... I said clever honey. She smiled and said ... “he who fights with wife all day, gets no piece at night!” .. I succumbed and knelt before her! Lol

Thanks for reading and hope to get to know you guys/gals better!

Edit: I forgot to mention OEM form fitted mud flaps that I installed.

    Welcome to TW!
Be careful on how you wire that dash cam. I have seen a few guys lose a few things like door locks and other important electrical controlled things. Take the battery cable off of the negative post at least.

Yeah, I saw a post on here on how to wire it to the rear view mirror. The brown is positive and the white and black is negative. I did buy a 12v to 5v converter so it should be a breeze but I WILL take your advise and pull the neg on the battery first! Thanks!
