The quick lane change signal can be 3 blinks or 5 blinks. That feature is on the turn signal stick , just don't push the stick all the way down or up, just move it a little bit.

    Thats what I figured.
Is this something the consumer can easily change?

Yes if you have carista app or tech stream. Another option is to go to the local threads for your area in the regional section and see if another member has either one if you do not

There is now an update for the manual owners. I just started a new thread.

Went from 3rd Gen Taco to 3GT4R to 2nd Gen Taco and finally a V8 4GT4R.
What dealership are you taking it to so I don't go there...I'm also in the bay.

I have an appt tomorrow for my weeping diff AGAIN. Want them to check that out and hopefully apply the TSB. Oh and an oil change while its there. I'm going to give them shit. They were supposed to do my rear leaf TSB squeek and left the RO open but lo and behold a month and a half/two months later they still haven't called me or fixed it. I ended up lubing my own leafs.

Yes, Tony Divino Riverdale is where I went. I know the foreman there. They have not hesitated to help me out when I come in with a TSB or problem.

I wouldn’t nessisarly buy from them but I have not had a problem with their service department.

5 clicks till cancellation. Stock is 3. Five is next. And my tech said he could do seven. He had Five on his Tacoma. By the way. The two techs that had Tacoma's BOTH did the TSB. And the advisors at Lithia in Redding know about the problem. No replicating. No drive before. A short drive after. And no BS .

This right here should mean a full blown recall so that everyone with a third gen can get the update. Fail, Toyota.

Is this from a stopped start or in a situation where you want to pass/don't have enough distance to stop at a yellow light? I will floor it in the preceding examples and the lag is terrible

The service advisor at my dealer said 2016 to 2018. They did my 2018 SR5. No question asked.

Toyota usually does recalls for software unless its safety related. Just go in a bitch about a drivability issue and the tsb will be done for free while under warranty.

Ok, so for anyone else curious about getting this update:

As long as you end up with the Calibration ID 8966304B0400, you're good.

Doesn't matter which TSB since they said they told me specifically that they applied TSB 0077-16 to my truck and yet I have Calibration ID 8966304B0400, which is the latest update and the one noted on 0058-18 AND 0062-18.

When they plug your truck in to the laptop it automatically chooses the latest Calibration.

Got a print out of my Calibration ID's:

Yep. I called corporate and they told me that a tsb is not a recall, and they need to receive paperwork from the tech staying that an actual problem exists.

I am glad mine behaved badly and I got it, but so sorry for yall. I would go to another dealer or demand to ride along with the tech. Is the problem discovered via computer or driving it?

Well, if we don't get it now. I believe that is just matter of time before it becomes a recall. Then they won't have any excuses to perform the update.

I was thinking about calling up Toyota Bountiful, or Tony divino. Please let me know how that goes for you.
