    Hello TW community!

Just thought I would drop a line to join in the conversations. I just bought my third Tacoma last Friday, a 2018 TRD Sport 4x4 V6 Auto in Super White. My first Taco was an '06 Extended Cab V6 4x2 and I traded in my 2011 TRD Sport V6 4x2 for this one. But, this time, I got the 4x4.

I didn't mod the first two. But for some unknown reason, within 3 days, I've already swapped in LED headlights and ordered a bunch of other parts. I'm guessing the decades of steadily better paying jobs along the way makes it all possible.

Next Tuesday, it goes into the shop for the lift (B8 5100s), ICON UCAs, 17x8.5 Fuel wheels (D557s), and tires (285/70R17 KO2s). What have I done...

This is the truck the day after I bought it:

Keen eyes will also notice the Inferno Taco hiding behind it. That '17 SR5 4x2 belongs to the woman and she's got the mod bug too. She already blacked out her badges, will soon get her rear bumper paint matched, and is taking my stock 17s until she moves on to Fuel Beasts. I forsee a lift in her future as well and bigger tires.

    Anyway, thanks for having me!

    - Todd

Thanks! When I met her, she was driving a POS Chevy Cruze which turned off the A/C every time she stepped on the gas. She noticed the reliability of my '11 Taco and one day last year we stopped by the dealer on a whim. I just knew she was going to get a blue one... but out of nowhere, she locks in on the Inferno. I helped her with the down payment, she took care of the rest, and she has been in love with it ever since. Not a week goes by where she doesn't mention how much she loves her truck.

Then, after a year of seeing the Inferno and how the color changes in the light, I wanted Inferno too (in 4x4). She explicitly forbade me from having Inferno as well. So much so that she said if I got an Inferno 4x4, and did all the things I plan on doing, that every day I could plan on going outside to see her truck waiting for me to drive to work. I do love this woman!

And you have been in love with her ever since. Seriously, you should put a ring on that if you haven’t already!

My girl loves my Tacoma. She’s been encouraging me to build it, which is very surprising tbh

White has pretty much been my go-to color. My 2011 was also white, because in AZ, it stays clean longer.

I was also considering the Magnetic Gray with some aftermarket dark bronze wheels to match my Hellcat.

I think that monster is right where it belongs. Heck, the Charger itself can't contain the ponies.

On a side note, I've just installed the badge blackouts and new AuxBeam LED low & high beam headlamps. Also, 3000K LED fog bulbs. Also, some organizers for the console and glovebox. Asked my g/f's dealer for the nice black leather owner's manual pouch. Much nicer than the cheap plastic sleeve my dealer gave me.

Just for nostalgia, here is my previous 2011 Sport Taco right after I put on the BFG KOs. I didn't mod anything else.

Damn good truck, hope this new one lasts as long with so little trouble.

Just had a storm roll through, so I thought it would be a good time to take a photo of the new lights:
