mounted my sliders on my truck last week..... hit the post by the drive up window the next day because i wasnt used to the extra width (its a screwy dive up window) felt like a dumb ass but its by far my best mall crawling story to date.

 

Just imagine the damage you avoided by hitting the sliders instead of........... oh, wait.

 

It hit the kickoutk part so it was outside my tire track my wife made fun of me pretty good for it

 

Welp. Traction mats came in. Fairly primitive way of securing it. Cable lock mounted through the handles and padlocked on the other end with the cables attached to the bed rack.

 

@CalTacoma09... how did the brakes do on the way home?

 

Tiffany had the idea of using gun locks, so I bought a 3-pack (keyed alike) on Amazon. I used 1 on my recovery boards, one on my hi-lift, and I have the third in the center console waiting to be used.

 

not bad, I might bleed them again when I get back.

 

I was thinking of using the gun lock because it’s small enough to fit into the mini holes on the ends. Might have to order some.
