It's too risky! I can't afford buying new wheels and tires again. My wheels stick out already 1 inch or more, so with some wheel spacers, the 265s are going to look really goofy.

@sblspawn don't forget that the spindles also add .75 inches to the track width per side.

And I don't think it will look as funny as you think it will. It's just another reason to get new fenders.

I am afraid that the 265s are too skinny for that much offset. There is going to be a huge gap from tire to tire below the truck. My wheels are sticking out 1 inch right now with 265s, so If I add some wheel spacers, they are going to look too thin. I may be wrong, but that's what I think.

Doesn't look terrible and you will still get good gas mileage lol. My truck drove great, and still does but obviously the 285s changed it a tad (feels normal now and did very quickly)

This may be actually at 5" lift up front on the 265s, it's hard to remember. I ran it like that for a long time.

Yes, your truck looks amazing but you told me that you were running on 17s at that time, right? But If I have to put wheel spacers to install the spindles with my 16s, I may be ending with too much meat outside the fenders and not enough inside.

That's the shit I don't understand, man! Sellers continue to tell me that 16 wheels wont fit without spacers, but you don't have any spacers in the front, right? I also have 4.5 backspace.

No spacers in the front. Only in the rear to even out the track width. Of not, the fronts would stick out wider than the rears.

They say that so they don't have to go down the rabbit hole of trying to explain wheel backspace on a 16" wheel. That would open them up to a lot of returns if they, or the buyer, got it wrong.

That being said.....I have 17" SCS wheels. 16's have been done many times in this thread. Maybe do a search for "this thread only" & keyword 16? Or BS? Or backspace? You're bound to scrape up enough info to make a definitive decision.

Why are so many guys complaining about that the hardest part of the installation is the brake lines? Can anyone explain this with more details?

Lots of times the lines are old and have rusted connections and are a PITA. If your trucks in good shape it's not too bad.

How many times did you have to bleed the line to remove all the air? :)
