    I'm pretty sure you'll have to take it out off the old wheel and into the new wheel. I don't know if it would be easy to trick the computer since it's a safety component. I could be wrong. :)

    I went to Discount Tire and they took off my old spare tire off my spare rim and put my full size tire, put the TPMS on and balanced it for $5. :p
