Not my photos (I had NO inclination to haul my phone out for a picture during these stretches) but you get the idea.

Moab has some crazy trails like that too! Was mtn biking one of them (I think Capt. Ahab?) and you come around a corner and all of a sudden the trail is a 2 foot wide shelf... with a 500+ foot drop straight down on one side and an overhanging cliff above you... needless to say I walked that section...

A temporary sin is way better than leaving it like that

In retrospect I'm glad that I did it; the views from the top were amazing. But at the time, I was NOT enjoying myself.

It'll keep me up at "night".

As soon as that aux fuse set up is done all of that excess is getting trimmed back, new terminals are going on, and it's all getting slammed into wire loom.

The GF and I try to get someplace with minimal light pollution for the Perseid Shower every year. Last year we were at a friend's camp in Howland, this year we're going to be in BSP, and we've already reserved our campsite on Azisocohos lake for next year's display.

Sweet, I'll be way up north with zero light pollution.

I just found out about this at our meeting this morning. Because meteors and building airplane engines go hand in hand, sorta.

I need to stop talking about Maine. It's like ejecting ADHD(Ness) Into a toddler for me. I could look a month in the Allagash or North woods

What campsites are good at Aziscohos? Do you stay on the island? And are they all easy to beach a boat at?

Honestly they're all good, but they're not all easy to beach at. The sites on the East side of the island (W7-W11) are all easy to beach on, but the ones on the West side (W3-W6) are really only accessible by canoe, unless you rig up a Clothesline mooring. The remote sites further up the shoreline are the same way; you can clothesline them any time, but the water level has to be exactly right to actually beach. Too high and there's no beach, too low and you'd drag on rocks on your way in to the sand.

Edit- Of course, for sites 7 & 8 you're threading a needle when you beach.

That’s awesome haha. Didn’t they have a show that was similar where people continuously barter goods until they have high dollar items? Think it was on a few years ago
