From built reg cab to stock crewmax tundra and finally ended up in one of these. It was fun my friends but these rigs are awesome

Post #18 is where I picked up for the sub install.

 

I basically made it like a JBL system but with Hertz, much higher quality and fairly priced.
Made a harness that ran to the amp under the seat and then wires from the amp to the doors, skipped the stock wiring (not good enough).

 

Only thing I wish I had done different is go with the HCP 5D because there's no remote bass adjustment on the 4D

95% of time I keep at one setting but we all like to flex every now and then, or a song just feels like it needs a little more thump

So these are plug 'n play? Nice

 

Almost, the seat rails are the exact same as a 2nd Gen seat, but I had to switch over my original seat belt latches, as the ones on the new seats would not work with my buckles. What also makes it more plug and play is the fact my truck originally has no seat airbags, so I didn't have to worry about that with the new seats.

 

OK, so swap over the buckles. The weight sensors are the same? I don't have those airbags either, easy day

 

Yup, the driver seat was slightly harder to change over, as the seat latch harness changed from 2 connectors on the old seat to just one on 2016+ trucks (but since you have to change the latch over anyway, the harness really doesn't matter). And the passenger seat, no harness/connectors had to be changed, the 2016 seat plugged right into my 2005 truck .

 

Any issues with just deleting the passenger air bag stuff altogether?

 

Airbag light will be on on the dash. Can’t say what would happen in a wreck but the truck will still run and drive normal. It’ll just have a light on.

 

Yep. I can pull the cluster if it gets on my nerves and pull the bulb or a well placed piece of electrical tape should do the trick.

 

Every other light is on so what’s one more?

 

Exactly. Even more will be on once i link it and delete the ABS shit.

 

I did this for about a week. The stock head unit just couldn’t drive the new speakers I bought well. So I ate it and bought a decent kenwood unit.

 

He’s more than likely and AC or DC guy as those come with 3.73s so to them, our. 4.10s are a cheap way to regear
