Uniballs conversion with adapter plate that you weld to spindle. Uniballs in lower arm. Horizontal. Horizontal Heim steering too.

I wouldn’t expect it to for under $1200. It’s be nice if it did but definitely wasn’t expecting that.

I wouldn't be surprised if mine had a crack here or there. They've been dragged and abused a good amount. I don't want LT for east coast and my mid travel gets me what I need without having to deal with the added costs of LT.

I am curious as to why they didn't add a secondary shock mount. It's not something that would've done right away but I'd probably opt for it and switch things up down the line

That and if I built an LT vehicle, it'd be a tacoma or t100

They probably would, but I want to be different and special. We'll see. I can always make 2 sets of arms and see what I like most. Based on what I've read in the LT BS thread, heims need to be vertical to pull travel out of it. I'll sacrifice a little steering angle for travel. Aiming for 16-18".

David had an elocker installed in the front diff of his 100 series, he bought a Tercel Wagon, and he's building a frame for a center mount, 4WD, 1981 pickup.

    Damn, those are nice! Thanks!

I just got the 6mm quick connect couplings I ordered and they fit the 6mm black line perfectly. I'll have some if you need a quick fix at camp Wednesday night.

So finally found a used highsteer setup for my pile...cuz I’m a cheap ass

So this week it’s going on as well as a axle truss and a full rebuild of the axle. All this crap is long overdue

I know, but don’t think I can get it all done before calico. Have never set up my own gears before but I’ll be dammed if I spend $500 to have someone do it for me.
So with that when I do them I’m gonna take my time and don’t want to be rushed at all. I threw the spool in the rear that was real easy but didn’t really have to worry about setting the gears and checking pattern etc

Abso-fuckin-lutley.... was up in Holcomb valley and surrounding areas this past weekend. Wife drove most of the time but kept wanting to go fast...reminded her what vehicle she was in.
So either a clean 3rd gen or a 4th gen. But the 3rd would be more in the budget

Full spool. Removed carrier and ring gear. Bolted ring gear to spool. Threw it back in and adjusted backlash a little, it was pretty close as it was. Checked pattern before and after it was almost the same so I called it good

I’d say a good bit of luck was involved. I understand how to set the backlash but if that pattern was off I woulda been a little lost on the depth and how to set the pinion in relation the pattern.

Setting backlash can be very frustrating. Always make sure you're checking pattern on both power and coast or you will get a whine when you let off the gas.

Not sure what the wife wants to do with it. Keeps eyeballing jeeps and we would use it as a trade in. Wants to have the jeep her dad had when growing up since he passed away 2 years ago so I can't bring myself to talk her out of one...

I'd probably have better luck doing a private sale to some flat billed highschool kid but nobody knows how to drive a manual trans anymore lol
