    @roguegs and I are thinking about ordering shipped to the same address. So that would be two plates and two mounting hardware.

    If getting the skin for increased tailgate strength, then IMO yes. Stock hardware is kinda shitty because the screws just screw into plastic. The rivnuts are much more stout.

    If just wanting a smooth surface for camping like me, stock hardware is adequate.

    Get the upgraded hardware then. I wouldn’t even bother attempting to source it yourself. @ilubtimmyhos tried but I think it was going to be more expensive getting it on his own.

    IMO you’d be fine doing that with the upgraded hardware. The stock hardware is just a small screw screwed into a plastic “nut” that isn’t very stout.
