I've never seen either group live, but have loved their music for many years. And now I feel old...

LOL I'm 26 so most people there had been listening to them almost as long as I've been alive. I went with my mom and step-dad, they had a blast. Most of the crowd was their age, and it was awesome seeing how into the music they all were. A lot more chill than the crowds my age that's for sure, and I loved that.

Tybee is nice...pretty touristy and can get busy as hell. If you’re not careful, you can spend the whole day stuck in traffic on the causeway trying to get there.

Highly recommend the Flying Fish to eat. You’d pass it both ways so may as well stop...

I did a Google street view tour of it and it looks like it would be a pretty cool place. That traffic scenario reminds me of how the town I grew up in can be. New Smyrna Beach can also have the traffic backed up all the way to the causeway if you catch it during the right time.

Not even looking for LA tickets! Me and the girl are going to go up to Santa Maria (where she's from) to watch the 49ers play the Lions as it's the only time they'll be in California this year. Cheapest tickets I can find, with the "service fee" is like $105. It's crazy.

Yup pretty much. It's crazy! I looked on ticketmaster and seat geek and the 49ers website directly. I know when I went to Michigan last year my dad said it was like $50 cheaper to go directly through the stadium to get the tickets over online, so I tried the same... Sadly no luck. It's also the 49ers home opener so I guess I understand the prices being a bit higher. Oh well. It's only money, can't take it with ya when you're in the ground!

Offspring is not that old or maybe I'm just getting old. Saw both those bands back in the day. They are good live that's for sure.

I'm looking for tickets to the DET/NE game in Sept (I'm a Lions fan and gf is a Pats fan). Cheapest we've found is $150 each. Already got the plane tickets, but trying to find better prices on game tickets.

    Another Lions fan!? Dilly Dilly!

Ticket prices be crazy. I'll likely be going to Detroit again this year, probably December-ish for a game with my dad and my uncle and cousin who live in Michigan. Last year was my first Lions game. Ford Field is awesome. Downtown Detroit is actually becoming a pretty cool area. Comerica, Little Ceasers Arena, and Ford Field all within walking distance is pretty bitchin

I'm one of few down in these parts! With no ties to MI whatsoever. Just been a fan since I started getting into the NFL in high school.

I've heard that Detroit is on the up and coming of lately! We are gonna go up Sat and want to check out the city a little before the game Sun night. Maybe catch a Tigers game if we can. Next up will be a trip to Foxboro which I'm pretty excited about too. Always wanted to check out Boston.

I'll pull for the Lions when they aren't playing a team I like. Kinda obligated to since wife is from MI and we lived there for several years. The Tigers are my AL team, Braves my NL team. If Detroit is getting cleaned up, good for them. It was a something of a mess last time I was there, but that has been more than a decade ago. I like Greektown and Rivertown, though.

Haven't been to Detroit in about 12 years but it was trash then from what I remember even though I was young. Step-dad is from there, took us for a trip down 8-mile and all. Woodward Dream Cruise was an absolute blast up there too.

Nice! Ya I'm one of the few Detroit fans in California too  My dad grew up in Michigan and went to MSU, so I'm an all around Detroit fan (except the Pistons). Went to the Tigers/Angels game on Tuesday which was just a joke, they are so bad this year.

The city is definitely getting nicer, at least the downtown area. There's still some areas to avoid for sure, but when I was there in December, it was definitely a place I would hang out around. My uncle lives in Birmingham, which is about 20 minutes from Detroit. You'll have some fun while there for sure!
Tigers are god awful this year, again. Our only hope was Verlander and now he's gone :pout: the game on Tuesday was so sad to watch. They gave up I think 5 runs in the first inning... They went through the ENTIRE fucking lineup without a single out... It was pathetic
