    That sounds far from me....

Have you been up there recently, is it somewhat challenging?

I went through Charlies creek a couple years ago. I went in at backside of the mountain where most people exit out at. It was a fun trail ride.2B21CF5E-E635-4508-811E-690BF6A2EB04.jpg 0E3B3636-3A8D-45B6-B663-76024276ABA8.jpg

Not since earlier this year. I wouldn't recommend going by yourself. Bring at least one other rig with you, it's pretty fun nothing too bad just a little sketch as you get a little topsy turny

FL truck coming up this fall to Charlie’s creek and trey mountain. And apparently Flatlands now. Always checking in on GA talks to see if there is a group date planned ....

Hit Forest Service Road 163 while you're in that area. I'll copy and paste from my last post:

It's about 6 miles long and takes you really deep into the woods along switchbacks and hills. I honestly thought the trail was even better than Charlie's Creek trail, but there's less streams and more hills. 4WD is required on quite a few sections and there were a couple axle-deep mudholes when we went through. Thought I'd throw it out there as a recommendation if you're in the Clayton/Helen/Hiawassee area.

Here's a link to the trailhead:
    https://www.google.com/maps/@34.892...4!1s-aoUkjGdSZFFhr-Ta2Xnhg!2e0!7i13312!8i6656

If you enter from the side north of Helen, it'll bring you out somewhere near Cat Gap road west of Clayton. From there you can hit Tallulah River Road, then backtrack down Charlie's Creek trail.

I haven't been since this time last year, so I'm not sure what kind of affect the recent rains and storms have had on it, but it was a really nice trail a year ago.

I'm in Suwannee also work in Alpharetta. Would love to check out some more local spots I've done Charlie's Creek a few times, it's fun with a couple cool little water crossings but not challenging in the slightest.

I've been up the West side of Tray mountain but not been able to tackle the trickier stuff as it's been closed ever since I got my truck back in April.

I'll have to keep an eye out for ya then! If you're looking for more of a challenge there isn't too much in Georgia anymore. Flatlands is probably the best but it's short and I wouldn't tackle it alone.

I'm thinking of heading up and trying FR163 this weekend. Maybe take a look at Tray Mountain @GreeGunc reported it may be open now.
