Sounds like an idiot convention to me. In a closed system I can out a centrifugal pump in any orientation that I desire. Position only matters as far as height vs the LTR inket is concerned to avoid trapping air in it.
Then again I am not a enginerd and have not schooling in such things.

Off topic, but since centrifugal force is now known as centripedal, do we now call the pumps centripedal also?

No, only practical experience which usually destroys the schooling!

I hope that was not directed at Skooter14 though. He seems like a cool dude just trying to ensure he does his mods correctly.

That explains why the fuel trims tend to bounce around higher than 0 at idle. I forgot that we go open loop when we WOT our trucks with these tunes. It's too bad these ECM's are more difficult to deal with than GM computers. That is about the only thing good old GM has going for them in that arena. Lol.

haha thanks for looking out @Roostfactor , I appreciate it.

I didnt take this as a jab at me, if it was, o well. It's the internet and I am way more secure in myself and the way I do things than to let anyone make me feel negative (again, not saying stairgod was trying too in any way!). I fly attack helicopters for a living and have had my fair share of "life experiences"...99/100 times I have a reason for the way I do things, and if someone wants to bash me for a particular thing...so be it . You sticking up for me/anyone though is just another reason why I like this "little" circle of peers in this particular thread. I think we consistently help support/troubleshoot with one another so no one is left behind.

On another subject, I got the worm clamps and a few more angle fittings for the reroute of hoses. Just one more mount to make for the pump and I'll be set!

Make sure to post pics when you are done. I am going to have to move my pump eventually too. Moving the winch into it's space, so it has to go.
Funny enough that when @fatfurious2 had his SC installed the pump was moved and he had cavitation issues

I have it resolved now. Or so I think. Let me know if pictures are needed of my setup. I haven't messed with anything since.

I def will get pics. I’m moving the pump for the same reason.

Feel free to throw em up! I’m looking to slide my pump off to the passenger side and orient it vertical

Why would you have lower fuel pressure than stock in vacuum? Doesn't the fpr connect to a vacuum port if not connected to the boost port?

Fpr is normally connected to fresh air port on ur intake. When doing fpr mod u hook it to boost port. So when not boosting its under vacuum causing more restriction on fpr and less fuel
    Pressure.

Why is everyone so worried about vacuum and the fpr mod. I mean the only time you are at vacuum is idle and cruising at constant speed. I could be wrong, but 15.2/ 15.3 should be fine for AFRs at idle or constant speed since there is minuscule load on the engine. I’ve been wrong before though

Ehhh it's a smidge lean, but probably ok on engines with less than 200k

    Evening gents,

I just finished up swapping my coil packs from side to side (the front driver side to passenger, and so on). Prior to doing this, the truck was throwing a P0356 code, now its throwing a P0353 code. Could this be indicative of a bad coil pack? And if so, could this be causing studdering and hesitation while driving?

Installed my fuel pressure gauge a few days ago, and it holds 41-43 psi during the hesitation and studdering, so i dont think i have a fuel pressure issue.. really hoping my coil pack is the problem, and that i can replace it and finally have the truck run properly.. thoughts?
