oh... yea i ran some 11.5 wides on stock spec wheels and they rubbed the frame and slightly on the uca.

rubbing fixed with 2" spacers (2" because i knew i was going with 35s)

Yea. Running wider tires on a stock 7" wide rim presents some issues. A 285/75 should really be mounted on an 8" or wider rim with about -10 offset. The tire will fit on a stock rim, but you have to use spacers to essentially mimic a wider rim with the correct offset. I had 2nd gen steel wheels for a bit. Couldn't even mount them. Offset is like +32. Had to use 1.5" spacers and they still rubbed just a bit on the frame.

That's why I went with something between 2 and 2.25 in the front. 3" looks good on paper (and maybe while your truck is parked); in practice, not so much. But then again, I actually take my truck offroad.

No issue with 1". My rims are dimensionally the same as yours.

Sorry I don’t follow. What are you saying? That the one inch won’t fit?

I looked at the inside of the wheel while I had it off. The design of my particular wheel allows for a little protrusion. Can't say how much. Just know it's not a problem for me.

    Curious,

Do you have a shot of the back head on (not at an angle) ?

I wanted to see how it looks with those tires.

    Thanks!

So I got my lift installed and put my wheel spacers on..I went with 1.25 just to be safe (should have gone 1 inch but meh)....This is what my rears look like but I was concerned about how my fronts only go on the factory stud about half way or a smudge more...

    How do your fronts look?

that is his front. you need extended studs with the 1.25 spacers.

manufacturer says It only needs 6 threads. Its about half way all in all so its right at about 6 threads deep.

Im hoping I can just roll like it is.

    ^ What Devin said.

    I've had 1.25 and 1.5. No issues.

Ok cool. I will eventually get them then I guess. Unless I get the 1 inch spacers.

Mounting the 33's on this weekend so Ill see how they look!

What all trimming and hammering will I need to do?

I have read many posts on the matter but there are surprisingly a ton of differences in what people have done....I guess it all comes down to how much rubbing I am comfortable with.

If needed, I was planning on the pinch weld mod and potentially some trimming up front around the bumper? I guess Ill know more once I get it bolted up but I was just curious what you all had done.

Tires will be 285/75/16 mounted on stock offset wheels posted in the first pic with 1.25 spacers (for now or maybe forever) with a 2.5-3 inch spacer lift.

i sledge hammered the hell outa the pinch weld. i think the 95-97 bumper offers a little more clearance because i never actually rubbed the bumper even flexed out.
