I thought about it. It's a shorter drive to just go straight there for me.

Where will you be coming from? Is there enough room on the side of the highway at the entrance to prep/air down and such?

I’ve never aired down on the trail but I haven’t been out there in a few years so it may be different now. Plus the rain.

Plenty of pull offs about a quarter mile in to get set up and air down if you want

I normally air down on everything including gravel. The ride is more enjoyable in a 1st gen (lighter) not to mention less beating on the steering rack and upper/lower bj's. It's just something I do.

Not sure what point of entry I should put in mapquest to see how long it's going to take me to get there.

Just drop a pin on exit 7 for Harmon Den or Cold Spring Creek Rd

It’s a mile difference so it’ll give you a good idea

Off the topic, but I’ve got a friend that has a complete (and brand new, never installed) air locker setup. Anyone looking for one? As soon as he sends me pics, I’ll post them on here. He’s in the Asheville area.

I guess my last question is...it all looks 1 way with no pulloffs. So what about oncoming on the trail?

There’s a couple pull offs. It’s tight but it’s not impossible.

You know Ima dreamer, and my heart’s offroad. I had to drive away high, so I didn’t get stuck low. Home Sweet Home...
That’s the plan... See you off the road.
