Its throttle control. I was playing with it. If I do 80 the mileage plummets to about 14-15. If I do 68ish I get 17.

Interesting choice to remove the rear but keep the front. I recently just re-installed my rear sway with extended links. It was fun without either sway but with the tent on top it was a little too tippy without the rear.
I run the MTLT 3" HD springs, with my drawer set up and the tent it gives me the same lift as the 2" MTLT springs did prior to the drawers and the tent and rides identical. I couldnt be happier with these springs. Just for future reference in case the springs become too much to handle later on.

I'll have to play around with it. I'm usually doing 80 when I go back and forth from the Bay to Sac just because I can't stand the drive and want it to end as quickly as possible.

At 1st I did no front sway with a rear sway but It was leaning on turns pretty bad. The front springs are soft. I pull the rear sway and put the front on and its perfect. The rear springs are stiff so no need for the sway and the front now has the sway bar to help. rides great.

Love that...the special torque bar is in this truck, go look for it and it's missing. And boss won't spend 400 bucks for a new one. Union says I can't but one. So it's the same old circle jerk. Gotta love it...

Those are nice over all springs.
I ran them for awhile, handle loads great, then went with longer travel shocks. Then had to go to off set lower links due to hitting on full drop with normal ones on the axle.
Then the springs would want to come out of the buckets. To much flex for them.

 sup y’all? Long time ago I was in here cause my gf is in the navy and she’s at the Monterey school.

Months went by and now me and her are looking to tie the knot so I’ll be moving in with her in military housing.

The area is Monterey/seaside. I drive 38 miles one way already for work where I currently live so distance is okay but with the move, I’ll be looking for work.

I’m a welder by trade and that’s the work I’ll be looking for if this doesn’t swing any leads... BUT

Being in Cali, home of the prerunners and open land, id love love love to find a off-road fab shop to join and learn the ropes at. I can weld but I wanna learn how to fabricate and set up suspension geometry.

I’d take a pay cut as long as I could still afford to eat.

Without going to google and looking up random shops, would any of y’all have any personal experience or advice for this? Know any shops personally that I may have luck at?

Sorry for the long message too lol.

Post a resume on indeed.com. if you can weld there's work. But I'm up by San Francisco. So there's tons of construction. Not sure about down south tho. Are you in a union? Maybe check with one of the locals down there.

When I flew into San Fran, I saw all the construction so I’m sure I can get a job. I’ve called the local union and got the starting pay from them which is better than the union in Texas actually. But idk.

I’ve been welding in construction for 3+ years now. Kinda wouldn’t mind trying something else for a little bit.

I would Google fab shops around the area. And make phone calls..worth a shot.

I think I saw Marlin Crawler was hiring recently but that’s in Fresno... it’d be a drive.

*but not any longer than a trip from Monterey to SF! (Time wise)

I plan on doing the footwork by googling and calling but it always helps to have locals advice and opinions first which is why I came here. I figured I’d have to do some calls but you never know if it’s your lucky day so it’s always worth a shot.

I know of a place in Dublin, but it's a hell of a drive from Monterey. Swat customs..

From the couple trips I’ve taken... gas is $4/gal so idk how far I can drive while taking a pay cut  I haven’t googled that drive but I mean I can’t get crazy here. Unless I get a bike :anonymous:

Maybe San Jose, but that's still a run.
