Yeah, look at how close your top 4 coils are compared to the rest. With the truck weight on, you were probably in coil bind cause of the sag. You’re still a bit high at over 25”. My 883s are at 24”. Your upper ball joint looks like it’s screaming for its life.

So just a quick comparison -

OME nitrochargers - Extended Length (IN): 18.62

    Bilstein 5100 - Front Extended Length(in): 18.66

Not much of a difference at all, but does add a slight amount to what he's seeing in addition to some major sag thanks to those old coils and tokicos.

That should just have to do with the total length the shock can travel. It won’t have anything to do with lift. The coils provided the lift, the shock just follows

That’s why you’ve got too much lift. That .5” spacer will give 1” of lift. Honestly if your ball joints aren’t being overextended and your alignment can stay in spec, you’ll be fine with more lift as a prerunner. The lift is limited on 4wds by the CV axles more than anything else.

But your top ball joint looks like it’s screaming help. Any down travel may break that.

What's the Backspace on your wheels? As long as you're at 4" or less, you should be good.

I think that the squared off end goes towards the front. But wait for someone else to chime in before you install them. I don't want to be responsible for it being backwards. LOL

Looks familiar... Just did this for the first time a couple of weeks ago

Take your time, when frustrated - walk away for a few. Ask lots of Q's and you'll have it back together again in no time.

I greased the front leaf hangar bolt (used energy suspension bushings - if OME yellow, still grease em up), shackle bushings inside and out. If using OME greasable shackles, grease gun em' once back on the ground.

Don't forget, front leaf bolt, shackle bolts, shock mounts and lower front shock eye bolt are all torqued once back on the ground. If using OME greasable shackles, torque is 60ftlbs. Everything else, uses toyota values.
